Protection of our Environment

Information on RoHS: (Restriction of certain Hazardous Substances)

As a manufacturer of Category 9 devices (“monitoring and control instruments“) according to the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG), current version, sheet 763 section 2 § 5 numeral 1, we are in general exempted from compliance with the banned materials in European Directive 2002/95/EC (RoHS).

We feel obligated to protect our environment and to handle natural resources responsibly. We therefore strive, as a preventive measure, to make our components compatible with the specifications of European Directive 2002/95/EC (RoHS), to the extent that this is possible based on suitability of the components being used. This has been taken into account for newly developed products since the beginning of 2005.

Compliance is indicated on the packaging by means of a clearly visible sign.

Should any products require a non-compliant design, the customer must inform us unambiguously of this fact, and a separate agreement will be required above and beyond the terms and conditions of the two parties. This will release us from the legal obligation to observe the deadline, and will transfer it to the customer. This especially applies to older-generation devices which due to their components cannot be manufactured so that they are in compliance, or can no longer be manufactured at all. In addition, we expressly reserve the right to make delivery in the present design, which might not be in compliance. We must also expressly reserve this right for repaired and exchanged devices.

We would be happy to answer any other questions you might have.
